Training & Development Manager

The Training & Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for part-time staff. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills, advancing career development, and ensuring that staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively. Additionally, the manager will handle corrective actions when necessary and contribute to improving overall staff performance.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development

  • Develop training materials and curricula for part-time sta9.
  • Update programs regularly to reflect changes in company policies and industry best practices.

Implement Training Initiatives:

  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Utilize various training methods (e-learning, on-the-job training, coaching) to maximize effectiveness.

Career Development:

  • Identify opportunities for staff advancement within the company.
  • Create development plans to help employees achieve their career goals.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Monitor employee progress and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to assess training outcomes.

Address Performance Issues:

  • Implement corrective action plans for underperforming employees.
  • Provide coaching and support to improve performance.

Policy Enforcement:

  • Ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Document and report disciplinary actions as required.

Compliance

  • Ensure all training programs comply with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in training and development roles.
  • Experience with performance management and corrective action procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of training methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with training software and learning management systems (LMS).
