Description
Brian Goldstone's award-winning book, There Is No Place For Us: Working and Homeless in America, illuminates the housing struggles that far too many families are facing in communities across the county. Goldstone follows five families in Atlanta as they move among streets, shelters, extended stay hotels, courtrooms, social service agencies, and more in hopes of finding safe and affordable housing. The experiences he shares are so similar to those happening in our community.
All are invited to the Auburn UMC Sanctuary for this free community event to learn about the reality of rising homelessness among our neighbors despite their best efforts. You'll also learn how to get connected to Auburn UMC's Good News Rapid Re-Housing ministry so you can help families right here in Lee County who are currently unhoused.
You'll get to meet Brian, buy a book, and get it signed after the conversation. Special thanks to Auburn Oil Co Booksellers for partnering with us!
