BRAND STRATEGIST/ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Client-Facing / Full-Time / In-office (Opelika, AL)

Here Molly Girl is seeking a full-time Brand Strategist to join our growing team. The Brand Strategist owns the strategic direction for their clients, translating business goals into actionable plans and partnering with the team to execute them. As the primary point of contact between the agency and the client, this person combines strategic thinking with the relationship management, project oversight, and campaign execution needed to bring that strategy to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning

Take a step back from day-to-day execution to ask: given this client's business goals, what needs to happen to get them there?

Translate client business objectives into a clear, actionable strategic plan, developed in collaboration with the internal team.

Conduct competitive and market research to inform strategy and recommendations.

Define success metrics and KPIs tied to the client's business goals, not just campaign output.

Present strategic recommendations and plans directly to clients.

Continuously reassess strategy against performance data and evolving client goals, adjusting the plan as needed.

Own client budget allocation, ensuring spend aligns with strategic priorities and stays within approved scope.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact between the agency and the client.

Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships.

Develop a deep understanding of each client's business, industry, and goals.

Conduct monthly meetings with clients to review KPIs and performance, as well as gain insight into new client initiatives or objectives.

Proactively communicate strategic marketing changes and project status to clients.

Be a thought-leader for clients, providing industry insights and tying them back to how they may affect the clients' business or marketing.

Lead onboarding for new client accounts, including kickoff meetings and initial account setup.

Identify and pursue opportunities to grow existing accounts as client needs evolve (expanded scope, new services).

Team Collaboration & Project Oversight

Partner with the Production Manager to develop project timelines that keep execution aligned with the client's strategic plan.

Coordinate and manage marketing projects and campaigns from strategy through delivery.

Collaborate across internal teams (creative, digital, web) to ensure work ladders up to the client's strategy.

Campaign Execution

Oversee execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan.

Write copy and oversee internal review. Examples include web copy, blog posts, social captions, etc.

Brief design and web teams with the context needed to execute against strategy.

Provide content topics and/or direction to team members for execution and review output before delivery to client.

Ensure marketing materials and assets meet client standards and strategic objectives.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze campaign performance data and translate it into insight, not just numbers.

Use performance data to evolve or course-correct the client's strategic plan to meet client objectives.

Track key performance metrics throughout the month and report results to clients along with data-supported strategic next steps or recommendations.

Prepare end-of-month performance reports, including analysis of data and strategic implications.

Digital Media

Partner with the Digital Media team to ensure paid campaigns support the overall client strategy and business objectives.

Stay current on digital media changes and trends, and factor them into strategic recommendations.

Administrative

Maintain organized client files and documentation.

Understand and properly use all internal systems: Monday.com, Dropbox, 1Password, Clockify, etc.

Manage administrative tasks related to client accounts.
