Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Client Services, Data & Business Intelligence Specialist to support and train clients in using donor CRM systems, assist in prospect research, manage data processing tasks, and develop business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Excel, Power BI, and Azure databases, along with experience in social media/email marketing and fundraising operations. This role is crucial for helping organizations optimize their fundraising, donor management, and data-driven decision-making efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Training & Support:
- Train clients on donor CRM systems, including data entry, reporting, and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance for CRM-related issues.
- Develop training materials and documentation to help clients maximize CRM usage.
Prospect Research & Client Development:
- Assist clients in identifying and researching potential donors.
- Use wealth screening tools and historical giving data to support fundraising strategies.
- Guide clients in utilizing CRM data for prospecting and donor engagement.
Data Cleaning & Organization:
- Process, clean, and organize client data in Microsoft Excel for accurate CRM import and analysis.
- Identify and resolve duplicate records, inconsistencies, and formatting issues.
- Implement data quality control measures to ensure accuracy and usability.
Business Intelligence & Reporting:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards using SharePoint and Power Automate.
- Assist clients in generating reports and dashboards to track fundraising performance.
- Provide insights into donor trends and engagement strategies based on CRM and fundraising data.
- Support data-driven decision-making by presenting findings in clear and actionable formats.
Application Development & Data Management:
- Maintain and enhance a Retool application using SQL and JavaScript, with Azure as the database.
- Develop user-friendly, customizable data tables and export functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize queries for efficiency and performance.
Marketing & Document Management:
- Support basic social media and email marketing efforts to enhance client engagement.
- Utilize Adobe tools for PDF editing and Microsoft Word & PowerPoint for formatting reports and presentations.
- Assist in creating polished client-facing documents and fundraising materials.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in client services, data management, or CRM administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data cleaning, organization, and reporting.
- Experience working with donor CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train and communicate effectively with non-technical users.
- Experience with prospect research and donor analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint dashboards.
- Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and Azure databases for application support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in fundraising, nonprofit data analytics, or donor engagement (minimum 2 years).
- Familiarity with Adobe PDF editing tools, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic experience in social media and email marketing.
- Understanding of data security best practices and compliance.
